Our fundraising
Projects

Throughout the year we strive to raise funds for projects that support people in recovery from Addiction.

How do we do this?

Quite simply, We get out and run! In doing so, we hope to raise awareness of recovery and make it more visible.

We challenge ourselves to lessen the challenges faced by charities and organisations who's resources are limited.

We help to open doors  for people in recovery and help them to experience a new way of life that is addiction free.

We rely solely on donations and sponsorship. Without your kind support, we wouldn't be able to offer people the new way of life they richly deserve.

24 Hours South. On the 13th May, Rich will embark on the 24 hours South Race. The gun fires at midday and sees participants travel South from the start point of the Offas Dyke in Prestatyn. Objective - Get as far as possible in 24 hrs! Current record - 89.1 miles Rich will be assisted as alwys by His wife and running partner Sian who will be providing much needed support at various points along the route. Rich will be raising money for the following cause: Hillgrove School Wellbeing Suite. North Wales Recovery Communities aquired Hillgrove School in the later part of 2022. The school is in a prime location within the city of Bangor, Gwynedd. The move from their current location at Penrhyn House will enable the charity to expand their residential capacity to 18 full time residents, supply training and education for the residents and members of the wider community wanting to access recovery. Plans are well under way for the commencement of stage 1 of the refurbishemnt. However, there is a great need for the charity to expand their alredy existing therapeutic programme. An outbuilding has been allocated for the development of a new Wellbeing suite which will encompass a new gym, yoga/mindulness room and counselling space. These key componetnts play a primary role in an individuals recovery and helps to maintain progression outside of the realms of conventional groups and meetings. The project is heavily reliant on donations to make it happen, without them it won't.
