Hello

"Just run for a minute then walk for 2" they said.

That was 3 years ago, and the advice from a fellow recovering addict.

Little did I know that fast forward to today, those words would have projected to a life of trail and ultra running.

My name is Rich Price, a part time runner, a husband, a dad to two sons, step dad of 2 girls, and a recovering alcoholic.

A near 30 year addiction to alcohol came to an abrupt end in December 2018 with a 7 week stay in hospital, my 5th detox that year and a point which finally bought me to my knees. A prognosis of days turned to weeks, then months, and here we are today, over 4 years on and living a life in recovery which has given me so much that it is seemingly impossible to repay the help, support, love and inspiration that I have received.

"Pay it Forward"- A simple piece of advice I received early on in my recovery, and it stuck! passing on what has been given, assisting organisation that do likewise, and in respect of inspiration, if what was once a homeless drunk that now loves taking to the hills and raising money for charity inspires someone to contribute to or cause then job's a good 'n'.

You can see our current fundraising projects on our projects page. I say 'our' because without my amazing family and network of support, none of this would have been possible.
